GAT Systems is looking to add a new member to the team! Our company has been a B2B partner in the Custom Finishing industry for over 60 years. Our current opening is an entry-level Production Saw Operator for our plant. The individual will support various departments by interpreting mechanical blueprints, determining appropriate saw settings, and communicating quality control issues to plant management. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, excellent math skills, and is self-motivated and collaborative!

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities we are looking for:

  • Interpret mechanical blueprints accurately. (Will train)
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read a protractor.
  • Cut various materials to appropriate length and label with correct part description.
  • Set up the saw to cut various degrees.
  • Stack completed work in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Assist in the unloading of material from steel trucks and storing it in the appropriate location.
  • Report basic material, production, and quality control issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance of saw equipment.
  • Safely operate forklift and overhead crane to handle material and complete work.
  • Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. (Will train.)
  • Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
